The task workspace is where you monitor and steer runs. It's built to hold several tasks at once.

Panes #

  • Open up to four tasks side by side. Click a task to focus it, or drag one from the list to open it beside the others.
  • Resize panes by dragging the dividers (horizontally and vertically); the sizes are remembered.
  • Rearrange by grabbing a pane's header and dropping it onto another to swap their positions.
  • Everything persists — your open panes come back exactly as you left them, and switching between panes doesn't restart the others.

Inside a task #

Each task pane has:

  • Chat — the agent's thinking, tool steps, and replies, streamed live.
  • Graph — a visualization of the run's tool activity (when there is any).
  • Diff — file changes (when the agent has made some).
  • Preview and Terminal — open from the header as side panels; the terminal can also be docked as its own pane.
  • A quiet run overview card (status, tools used, agents, focus, cost) in the corner.

Find & shortcuts #

  • ⌘F searches within the focused pane's conversation.
  • ⌘K opens the command palette; ⌘1…9 switches workspaces.
  • ⌘T creates a new task; ⌘B toggles the task list for more room.
